Join me, Georgia, for a 2 part workshop on lost wax casting with cast in place stones and finishing. These are small classes so I can spend lots of time one on one with people. Only 4 to a workshop. Class Dates: Monday Dec 8th @ 6:30pm Thursday Nov 11th @ 6:30pm Location: 44 Trafford St, Brunswick. Parking is tight so lygon st or albert st is an option. What to expect: Session One What the process of lost wax casting is Talk you through all the wax tools Taking our ring sizes Guide you through making a simple band in wax Stone setting in wax 3mm stones and finally will support you through creating your own design with stones If you would like to make a pendant instead you are welcome to Session Two The finishing and polishing tools Sprue removal Finishing and polishing techniques Included in the workshop: All tools will be supplied 3mm gemstones (up to 10 each) Wax used to create your pieces plus the sterling silver (max weight 15g silver between your pieces) A list of tools and equipment to set up a home studio A list of suppliers Drinks and nibbles What to bring: Yourself and your creativity! A notepad and pen Closed toe shoes Hair ties to tie up long hair
